Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Thanks for the reply @saddened. They have been so underhanded and dirty about the whole thing, it's hard to know when the next low blow is coming. I wish the best for you and for all the rest of us who have not only been "impacted" but who are intentionally being hindered from moving forward.

What I mean by let go is laid off.... myself and 6 ppl from my team were "let go" last Wednesday I believe the newest mass layoff they recently just did. But internally and On indeed they are now hiring for the same positions they let go many of the PHCs for!! Tuhhh ....Go Figure!!!

@Saddened, you're story sounds EXACTLY like mine but I'm an HCC. Must be the Humana way! Just curious, when you say 6 people were let go, we're they already laid off or was it a new lay off. Or did humana find an excuse to fire them a second time?

As of today 6 ppl from our team has gotten let go.... our coach has been promoted ..... and 7 ppl begin with new coaches starting on Monday ..... we are PHCs working for HAH ... our coach has said NOTHING to us she had been avoiding the ones who got let go.... no words of encouragement no NOTHING .... on top of that we have no one to call from our rosters no current alerts to do..... this is just crazy .... I don't want to forego my severance because I need it. I wish they would just release me but my coach said they won't and she had nothing to do with it ... however when we all called HR HR told us that being released had everything to do with the coach!!! So much misinformation is frustrating!!

I could see this theory if the employees accepted their jobs as "temporary" and told during lay off that there would be new "transitional" jobs opening up they would be in line for. Did that happen? I suspect they were hired for end of the year campaign push and quickly discarded. Corporate has been tight lipped about this layoff in the media and removing position postings would be a red flag.

Sure you can apply but can you trust them not to turn around and do it again?

Could those postings be positions for those laid off to transition to and apply for?

I have worked in health care for over 30 years and have never worked in a more hostile environment.

Yes we received an email at 3:30 for mandatory confidential meeting. Our coach was no longer in the chat, another coach stepped in to oversee. Our team was dismantled and divided into 3 remaining teams, 3 coaches gone, no goodbye and change effective immediately. If they remain for 60 days it will not be in the coach role they had. Our Coach told us nothing.

This is the first I am hearing SNP coaches have been let go. Are they not working the 60 days like the staff are? They were let go just like that?

3 SNP dialer teams dismantled and coaches let go. S, T & K (each coach first initials) our teams were then divided and placed with 3 other existing teams to make larger teams. So yeah business decisions, but as the associate to lose your Coach & teammates the same day with NO notice is demoralizing. We may not be layed off yet but I am sure our day is down the road. For those of us moved we now have to adjust to existing teams and expect our performances to not be effected at ALL. The All associate call should have specifically cited these actions in order to remove the sting. And coach leaving with NO goodbye is just COLD!

I dont even like to imagine the sick pleasure someone like mf gets out of reading these posts. The man obviously looks out for number one and is a sleeze.

Can you post the first letter of first name let go? I'm on pto and watching this all go down :( Mike Fffenheimer is just a front man, feeling proud of himself. He's a narcissist that pats himself on the back every night thinking he does the work in the trenches...., the dirty work!! Yes, correct, he does the dirty work that LINES HIS pockets and all the other layers of higher ups and stake holders. MF...you are NOT in the trenches!!! You are just contributing to corporate greed and I trust that your dirty chubby hands will deal with the wrath of karma eventually! Feeding us lip service, shoving crap down our throats and telling us to smile while eating your crap or grab the door. You are not a leader or diplomatic inspiration. You do not inspire or motivate anyone. You utilized threats to beat down dedicated advocates of seniors and the disabled. You figuratively , tied our hands behind our backs, bound our feet, and told us to run a marathon every single day with a record time to help the members! Bulls**t!!! You didn't care about "helping the members." You wanted a facade and you wanted statistics. You set us up to fail and then told us it was our fault and that we were not good enough. We were asked to fix every BS infliction humana caused to members, and to do it at break-neck speed..., just to make Humana look good, while we get continually beaten down and given unattainable metrics/expectations that can only get met if you are single person without family and willing to put 11-12 hours to make numbers. You are asking us to further enslave ourselves, kill ourselves more.....with no way of knowing whether we will be compensated for sick sacrifices we give. Sacrifices we make and abuse we take to continue to provide food, shelter, healthcare for our own. Shame on YOU!!! You are not doing anything valorous for this world!!! You could not care less whether these medicare recipients die or thrive. You care about being the stakeholder's whipping boy! And that's all you were! Hope you are proud of yourself when it's time to reflect back on your life and how you ruined many

What coach let go. ..wow
