Thread regarding Sears layoffs

The customer isn't going to be happy with me anymore.

I work in the automotive section and deal with a lot of angry demanding customers everyday. It's obvious that we are going down the drain and days are certainly numbered. So as far as I'm concerned, the customer isn't always right. You don't like the price of our oil changes? Go somewhere else! No, it hasn't been like that since we rotated your tires! You don't have an appointment? I'll take you in only if I have room but don't you dare come around the corner and ask how much longer will the wait be! We close at 6pm. The doors are going down at 5:30 and I'm not answering the phone after that point. If anyone thinks I'm staying late and missing another dinner because they need their car, is in for a rude awakening. I am now treating the customer the way Sears treats all of us.

Anyone who has ever worked in retail wants to be in this position. Good for you!

"Then you are no better than those who treat you like crap as an employee. Shame on you. You should be better than those you criticize."

Have you ever heard of an eye for an eye...?

Also, people will treat you they way you allow them to treat you. If you respect yourself you will not allow people to treat you like crap without taking a stand against it.

No! He is correct. Why should he and others give a crap when it is plain to see the Eddie does not give a crap? He is on a sinking ship and just waiting for the right time to start swimming.
