Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Your vacation has been gutted silently if you plan on leaving after VCIP

You used to earned all your vacation on the first of January. However, the locking has changed and you now accrue 25% of your vacation every quarter.

You may be able to use your whole 3-5 weeks, but if you terminate, you only get 25% in the first quarter and if you use more than what younacdrue- may have to pay it back. Nasty.

Guess they didn't have the balls to tell us about this straight up. Snuck it in with the new year.

If you cant figure out why leaving after VCIP screws the company over then I am not surprised you made the shortlist of deadwood who are no longer with the company.

Leaving after vcip is screwing the company how exactly? The performance contributing to the award is based on the year completed 45 days prior. Try again champ.

Ummm - the criticism goes both ways. Anyone who is planning to leave after VCIP is basically planning to screw over the company, so why act so surprised when they try to screw back?

ConocoPhillips: It's not just what we do, it's how we do it.

Ah, COP being "transparent" again. If commodity prices heat up a little more management will wonder where everyone went. They'll have nobody. A few months after the exodus begins the retention bonus will be offered -too late.

Stay classy COP....rework vacation rights the week of Christmas so nobody is around to notice...and you wonder why so many people hate the company at the moment

Wrong. It has NOT always been that way. Check the document

Uh, no. It's always been that way for vacation AND flex. They pro-rate what you've earned up to your last day and either add or deduct from your final paycheck.
