Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Why can't follett just tell the truth.

If we are going to be without a job why don't they just say so..so everyone can look for another job.

They need labor. That's why, considering all the belly aching, you should execute a rolling sick out. Organize your departments. Over a 3 day period, 1/3 call in sick for a day. The next day, another 1/3 calls in sick. Same on day 3. Management will see a unified work force, work will be impacted (a little).

Because in order to get every last penny out of the business units they need you all to stick around and ride it out. If you all leave Follett is f---ed and will lose millions.

Most of my old coworkers are still there a year later. I don't get why. Some people coming from other businesses used to remark on the "lifers" there. I would make a change if possible because waiting for a turnaround got me into the unemployment line. It's always easier to find a job when you have a job currently. It's work and annoying, but this is your life... take ownership of it.

Follett is dead and does not care about their employees. They cut benefits and cut 401K to the little man all while hiring more VP's. Follett is a stop point for the Executive office VP type friends to come make an easy buck while they try to find their next gig. If you are still waiting for them to change know that you can't fight for something that has no desire to change. Why in hell everyone wouldn't be trying to find a job else where I don't know. Best thing I did was leave. While my heart goes out to the good people of the company I am rather enjoying watching that dumpster of a company burn.

If you are young, get out. Those of us near retirement need to be brave, hang in there, then peace out. Sooner than later.

Some of us Follett employees will be dropping our mic's on Wednesday. Good luck to all.

Follett does not care about its employees. They have demonstrated that over and over since 2012. If you think Follett care about you because they are giving you a benefit, think twice. It is benefiting them more than you or they wouldn't do it.

This is how you know you're in an abusive relationship. Everything would be better if only the abuser would change. NOT. GONNA. HAPPEN!
