Trump’s Next Move on Immigration to Hit Closer to Home for Tech

Probably not going to impact the CSC/HPE merger itself but if the administration is true to its intentions changes are afoot, especially for IT companies.

I love this!! HPE has been outsourcing for years (along with other companies) but HPE actually published that they want the company to be 70% outsourced (in & outside of US) and 30 US SO hopefully this will assist in them having to change their plan!

"Shortage" = "we don't want to pay market wages for qualified American workers."

"However, given the skill shortages in the U.S. and the availability of technically skilled workforce in various global markets,"

There's a shortage? Could've fooled me!

I fully applaud this action. It is coming too late for me at HPE. I had 25+ years of EDS/HP/HPE but was WFRd 3 months prior to when I could have retired. In my team, all Americans were let go. All non-Americans are still there (as far as I know), some visas but most are overseas.
