If congress really cuts the H1B visas, don't you think that companies will just ship those jobs abroad to Bangalore, instead?
I hope Trump cuts the H1-B Visa, HPE thinks that it is there job to import India to our country, which is basically running down the accounts because they think they are highly qualified but in reality there like someone from a 2 year college, not socially , Culturally, or a well rounded individual, they need baby sitters, and make more $$$ than American counterpart, and then you have to train them, then they leave for another job GET RID of MEG
I would be surprised if HPE and CSC haven't already banged heads about which positions to cut in preparation for the spin/merge. It would be nice to see Trump spend as much time trying to keep IT jobs from being outsourced as he does bringing back archaic manufacturing jobs to the U.S. Given Trump's distrust of computers and tendencies towards crony capitalism, I don't have high hopes for the IT industry over the next 4 years.
Interesting, that means they have done a divisional makeup with Microfocus and CSC and determined what management, support groups etc. format and makeup will be in the new companies.
Are CSC/Microfocus doing the same thing.
Fingers crossed!
As far as I know there will be layoffs starting 1/13 or close to that day, in theory it will affect people that will be in the spin-off/merge with Microfocus (HPSW) and CSC. The only thing we can do is wait and see if will really become true, but everything point that will happen to reduce the number of people before they move to the new company. For the ones that will stay in HPE just need to wait and see if the company will be split more and more (Servers, Networking, Storage) and sold in small parts or as a big one.
yes HPE has to pay the price for granny M*g's political infidelity. No Govt orders for new servers/equipments...Existing orders will never be renewed under Trump's administration. Hoopla about share price rise come to an end in next 6 months. Clear symptoms of hpe up for sale.
Not surprised the company is unsalvageable. More than likely the remaining part of HPE will be sold to a Chinese company like Lenovo.
