Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Potential HPE acquisition targets next in line... After the CSC & Micro spin-offs/mergers, it's basically acquire or be acquired...

  • Nimble Storage Inc. (NMBL) - Shares of Nimble dropped nearly 15% on Wednesday after the company's third-quarter earnings, putting Nimble's market cap at $670 million. Next generation storage is where all of the innovation is happening in hardware... Other less attractive candidates include Nutanix Inc. (NTNX) , with a market cap of nearly $4.7 billion, and Pure Storage Inc. (PSTG) , valued around $2.8 billion.

  • Arista Networks Inc. (ANET) - A cloud networking company with a $6.7 billion market cap.

Nimble Storage sounds like a natural target. I already feel sorry for its employees...

Nimble Storage seems more aligned to HPE's latest acquisitions. I agree with you... We need to increase our market cap post spin-offs, or we might be in danger of an hostile takeover attempt. But oh, well... Maybe that's exactly what Meg wants...
