I write this message as a caring father like all others out there-After hearing that my son an offshore worker for Halliburton has been paid off. It hurts him deeply along with so many others but my main feelings for this seem even more hurting .A young man with young family working hard in life never off sick etc. And the way he has been treated is out of touch 3 years no pay rise on salary or offshore day rate having to work in a yard whilst at home no pay for that either.Cut on pension contribution by Halliburton and another disappointment would be paying into shares scheme and company not honouring matching shares and would not give my son tax free amount as top people say you have to be in the scheme for 5 years that's all wrong. cost of living goes up every year in the uk along with taxation but Halliburton top brass need to address these issues and do not ignore this message or the staff that are going through this.it is unfair and incorrect to do this to people

Son has another job with better income and most importantly annual wage rise and double time any hrs over that's what halliburton never gave him just used and abused

Okay, cry baby here is the history. Halliburton used to give Christmas bonuses. They were of course taxed and you got what was left, not much. Halliburton also USED to have a profit sharing plan which was fantastic. I participated in that until the clowns at the top realized they could spend the profit on crap ideas and buying junk companies and there went the profit. They then changed it around, renamed it, up ended it, painted it fluffy pink or whatever until it was gone. Now you young guys are on your own. No problem as you think you know everything anyway.

Worked 39 years for Halliburton. When Mr. Halliburtons flying H was removed. It ceased to be a company for the employees.
And a company for top tier. D--k and Dave turned Mr. Halliburtons company into a company that Mr. Halliburton would have despised.
You young employees and people thinking of going to work for Halliburton , should think long and hard.
You are only a number to top tier management. And it will use you up,and walk you out the gate in a heart beat. To show a profit.
