I've never seen a merger or spin off where the name is kept auch a secret. We knew well before what the names would be after the hpe/hpq split. Makes one wonder.

Nope. HPE Shareholders get 50.1% of the new company and CSC shareholders get the rest after spending $2bn of CSC money.

I suppose from a pure merger viewpoint legally HPE shareholders are the dominant part, but that's shareholders, not HPE the company.

Spinco, the clue is in the name... spin
