San Juan Conoco is now San Juan Williams.

I am being optimistic about this, and I hope it is a company that values it's employees! Conoco used to be a good place to work, but the employee buy-in has gone down the crapper. I can't wait to be valued!!!!!

Why not sell San Juan Basin assets? You are kidding yourselves if you think big companies keep assets until they are done! The truth he is saying one gas assets are past mature status. When drilling opportunities diminish and wellbores are all more than five to ten years old it's time to sell. Early production is easy and very profitable. As assets mature decreasing rates and pressure, water production, scaling tendencies, and corrosion significantly increases cost and difficulty to recover remaining reserves. There is a percentage of the remaining reserves that will not be recoverable. Why not sell now and get paid for them and let another company struggle to recover what they can! Not what you wanted to hear but the way the oil and gas business is and always has been! Thanks for the memories!

Really, sell San Juan to fund stock buybacks ... says everything.

Eog resources or continental or logos backed by private equity. Word on the street is that MF got an unsolicited bid back in May, will intentionally undervalue sj internally to make offer seem palatable and current marketing effort is just part of validation step - but decision already made. My money is on logos

Best value to COP would to break it up into smaller assets (if possible) and market each separately.

I hear it's going to be run by a 2nd year new hire. After all, they know everything.

The company that buys SJ will be far luckier than the bottom feeder that buys the remains of COP.

Questar? So let's sell a decent play to buy back stock! Better off selling acerage in DB, God knows we're not doing anything with it.

They better pray someone does. It is the only money making chip that dying company has to barter with just to stay afloat for another quarter!
