37 (from 150 employees) are being fired right now. Some hold more than 30 years in the company.
Brazilians believe HPE will probably be closed here. That's probably true.

Don't forget CSA R&D WFR in California (Oct) and NMMi R&D WFR in Ft Collins (this week)
37? Which products are you working on?
So far we know about Operations Orchestration- and OpsAnalytics-Team from Israel, OpsAnalytics-Team from Prague, Vertica-team from the California, OpenStack and Helion/Stackato developers.
Any other products effected? Probably a lot more?
I've seen great professionals, some true role models being laid off in the USA. So, now it's our turn. We all want a better, leaner, faster, lighter company, one that can create and deliver best-in-class products, but the cost for that may be just too heavy. Human (and talent) costs.
That's 34% of the workforce. Minor adjustment my f---ing a--.
Anyway, what would you guys expect? HP is f---ed up, it's just a matter of time now.
Meg will probably sell everything next year. Then... "tchau tchau!"
This not only about the 37 out of 109 employees of the Brazil R&D. No contingency worker has survived this WFR neither. So this is definitely NOT a "minor adjustment". Not from a local organization perspective, nor from a human one for the respect of the employees that have been laid off.
37 out of 109 getting fired is a "minor adjustment"?
We have only 109 employees. Brazil RnD is a well known institution for its quality and predictability when delivering software. This was just a minor adjustment.
