Thread regarding Follett layoffs

There will be layoffs..

There will be layoffs in march. Bonuses are completely done. Benefits are as low as they can offer. There will be no more merit raises or cost of living increase. Once new fiscal budget comes out overtime will be strictly prohibited so you will not make an ounce of your salary back...ever. They will consolidate and run on skeleton crews. Pto will not ever carryover and vacation days to be eliminated to near entirely ,just sick days. You will be slowly wielded away at this year until you either quit or have nothing left whatsoever. You will be forced to do more work and have a constant eye on your productivity due to going hourly from store managers who are still salary that know the company is failing but will continue to do nothing and sit in there office playing around with the schedule or invoice wizards to look busy. This is your future it is black and white... make the choice to stay or leave now.

If you are still employed with this company.. for any reason! You are the ignorant one. You are a rag they will soil and throw out. The company is dead..entirely., not just a little , this is a completely dead industry. Follett cannot and will not survive off Tshirts and sweat pants. It's over , they don't care it blatantly obvious, they cannot return from this abyss, it is simply not possible. Amazing or another company will buy remaining assets , contracts will be bought out. Follett is dead if you are staying and enduring the treatment you are ignorant and enjoy abuse. Working at mcdonalds regardless of the ramifications financially for short term should be enough to get you to go. You will get another job!!! It will happen! Go ,go now! Lay your pen down, log off your computer and hand your keys to the store manager and walk out.

Actually, there were layoffs but we're done in very small increments so not to cause issue across the field. They have learned how to handle it more PC.

We all remembered what happened the last time someone screamed that layoffs were coming, right? Nothing happened.

Protest to the top of HR, R.E. But the main FHEG HR person is a R.G. cronie brought in about 6 or 7 months ago but I don't know her name. The woman at FSS has been there forever. I think both are SVP level which is joke in itself. HR won't do anything. Best advice is consult an attorney.

Who is the head of HR? It was suggested I speak with K.B. regarding salary changes. Is this the woman you are referring to?

Watch out for the head of HR. She's dishonest and as cut throat as they come. Comes across false in meetings and out for herself and not the company. Has sold her soul to the devil and will laugh as she cuts you below the knees.

Follett is a terrible company. End of story. This wasn't always true, but it's true today.

Regarding PTO, check your state's laws. California prohibits employers from taking back unused PTO. They may cap accrual. What has accrued is an earned benefit and can't be taken. It must be paid out on termination, or taken as PTO.

When this place finally shuts its doors, we ought to have a bender of a wake. Nothing but remembering when it was a good company, the good people who once worked here, burn a few execs in effigy.
