That 1800 number always referred them back to RAE

They were testing dedicated 800#'s for the retailers to call for support. This was widely successful as the NAE takes too long to return the call. The Experience stores are not permanent and they will probably phase these out due to high rent and limited results. As far as Walmart and the others they don't even really sell postpaid anymore. Cricket and GoPhone are the remaining future for NR.
Since all of the attention is paid to AR, who's really supporting NR anyway? Best Buy is complaining out the azz at the service they are getting from AT&T. They went from seeing reps on a weekly basis to one visit a month MAYBE. Best Buy is being ignored, AT&T is losing face and the other companies are stepping in to scoop up the relationship. Best Buy matters, but not to pathetic AT&T.
Who will service them? C'mon..That's easy, a $9.50 an hour call center worker will replace the $60K RAE. 2017 will not be kind to the RAE role.....
Be one of the people that leaves AT&T and feels a huge burden lifted and enjoys a new culture where people aren't peeping around corners. Ask me how I know.....BEST to all.
