Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Union, Union, Union.....

Damn, Follett is so bad it makes hard core Republicans want to join a Union. THINK ABOUT THAT RAY! You don't realize the insurrection you've created.

I doubt it. There are supervisors. They manage schedules, enforce policy. They don't create policy and they're not in charge of managerial direction. Most "managers" at follett are really supervisors. Store Managers may even be supervisors (at small campuses where the RM has most of the discretion).

Can someone answer this question? According to the The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)

"Managers and supervisors are also not protected by the NLRA, and cannot join unions or be part of the bargaining unit. These employees are considered to be part of a company’s management rather than its labor force."

furthermore

"Most employees in the private sector are covered under the NLRA. The law does not cover government employees, agricultural laborers, independent contractors, and supervisors (with limited exceptions). "

Are we that limited exception?
