Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Weather related closings?

Managers were paid on these days if they did any work at all, even from home. Now what?

I feel like nobody is telling us the expectations, rules, typical of Follett to roll out a new plan with no info.

"Technically" in the case of a weather related closing we are supposed to use PTO, which is ridiculous - at the rate a lot of these schools close, many of us would be out of PTO by the end of February. Most RM's acknowledge this is ridiculous and would tell you to send some emails and get some work taken care of from home, and not use PTO. Same during the holidays, where on small campuses the college is completely closed with no heat. You could go in for 4 hours until you couldn't feel your fingers, and not use PTO because your hours WAY more than averaged 40. Now, you only get paid for when you work, and those above 40 hours are going to be cut off way sooner than they're saying.
