Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

What the heck is going on at HPE? This is unacceptable... You better watch out and keep your eyes and ears wide open.

WFR class of Q4 2013 here... I've been working for a big HPE reseller for almost 2.5 years now. What the heck is going on there? They have been failing almost every committed delivery dates on orders placed for EMEA and AMS requirements since August of this year. It's really embarrassing to tell our customers again and again that their hardware availability dates won't be met, impacting their whole implementation plans. They don't accept anymore when we say that it's not our fault as we are being given firm dates that are not met. If you feel bad being an employee, you have no idea how it feels to be a reseller/customer tied at the mercy of an exclusive reselling agreement. It's incredible how HPE can still mess with my life even after being out of there for 3 years now.

Anyone knows what's going on? Is it true what they say that there are WW shortages on plenty of key components? If so, why the heck do they commit and fail on deliveries they know they won't be able to meet? I would love to be allowed to put my angry customers in contact with HPE for them to try to explain them why their "shortages" are impacting their businesses $$$. I'm "this close" to resign and look for a job in which I don't need to interact with this mediocre Company ever again. Instead of laying up people to "fix" their accounting numbers and internal metrics, they should put more attention in selling - and most importantly - executing on their promises. This is bad, guys... Very bad... You better watch out and keep your eyes and ears wide open as not meeting committed orders should be seen as a huge RED FLAG.

zlt nailed it. There is no future at HPE, period. It's like a fabulous house built on a foundation rife with termites because the greedy owner (Meg) spent all the money on herself and did not maintain the foundation or invest in protecting the strength of it's construction. It will crumble of it's own accord, while employees will be spun off to new companies, which will be either better, the same or s--- worse than HPE. Some will just retire or quit to rid themselves of the stress. Some unfortunately, will go down with the house. Meanwhile, the homeowners are busy adding on, installing gold toilets, etc. going for "street appeal". When it all crashes down it will epic. But the homeowners will get up, dust themselves off, gather their goodies and go look for another house to ruin.

This is what will happen... 1 or 2 Top executives will leave before the quarter is over and then when HPE announce results in Feb (which doesn't look promising at all), Meg will announce another "shuffle" of Executives among the Company to distract the market and minimize the impact on the stock. You will see that she will start comparing HPE with others in the Industry doing really bad in order to create the perception that HPE is not doing bad at all given the "market conditions". She will probably try to look as a "strong leader still in charge" by saying how disappointed she was about the execution of x or y group or management team. Finally, she is going to blame the execution on the spin-offs, and will assure the investors that it's just a temporary stage. And... And you know this will happen... If you think cost cutting (including layoffs) has been brutal in the last 2-3 years, you have seen nothing yet... Prepare for extra-deep cuts in every budget around. Our suppliers will be crushed (T the number of skus greatly reduced; and the sales & marketing teams deeply hit. The only way HPE will be able to survive FY17 will be with an announcement of a big merger either on Q417 or Q118.

I hope you keep this post/reply handy, as the old-Nostradamus will be a little kid when compared to what I wrote here. From now on, I shall be called... "The New Nostradamus"... :-D

Fallout within the internal structures of HPE is occurring. It's just a matter of time before the greedy executives, incompetent best shore, rumor mongering, spinoffs, and just major anxiety of its employees take its toll and the stock drops like a lead weight. Glad I cashed out and now on the outside looking in. It's just like a Titanic situation. Run for the lifeboats, Executives and VP;s on the lifeboats first. Very very sad situation of a once great corporation.
