Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Hey Yahoo SHLD Board

You guys over at Yahoo crack me up. Keep up the good work. I see that you guys are always looking at what we are saying over here and I see that you are the only ones who talk about SHLD. It is a odd stock to try to short as was proved yesterday. I thought about puts but nothing makes any sense with it. It is a zombie stock and has basically no volume so even the smallest buy or sell has massive repercussions in price.

There is one thing that you guys over there at Yahoo have not talked about yet that you should at least consider. What about a government bailout occurring for SHLD? Who is going to be the new the new Treasury Secretary again? Mnuchin is and where did he come from? SHLD and Indymac. No one misses Indymac but Sears is different. Sears stores anchor many malls even if they don't have any customers. If the Sears stores close then what happens? It is not like Macy's or JC Penney are rocking the bottom lines either.

Just something for you folks to consider. I would love to hear your financial musings because many of you are very capable. Real estate. A black swan is a black swan and Donald is a black swan who likes real estate.

You have my permission to repost the considerations I have asked on Yahoo and I look forward to your analysis.

I am offering no judgment or opinion at this time.

2 trains of thought.

Either find another job and put yourself out of misery,

Or,

Stick around, make this bozo pay you for standing around doing nothing, or pay you a lump sum severance , before the whole thing implodes.

Either way, Merry Christmas and Happy Nee Year from an escapee.

ZHD, you seem so angry and a little creepy wanting pretty young girls to gawk at while you work. If you are such a genius why spend all your time here posting. While we workers do appreciate your chivalry trying to save us from the evil dragon of SHC I really don't see how the $100 dollars in your pocket will do anything to improve the lives and situations of those whose families and lives depend on this company for making a living. SHC will not be bailed out, those days are over and there is no reason to bail SHC out. It is a dying (dead) dinosaur of a company that no amount of money can save.

No bailout. Sears isn't a big bank that's "too big to fail" and hence, received govt bailout, or the automakers, who received a bailout from Obama, because failed automakers = no union dues being collected = no big donations from the union to the Dems. Nothing in it for the govt here so no bailout.

I think Zhd is a little slow. He will come back to say that he is a genius but his musings on here suggest he is a sandwich short of a picnic.

About twenty more things. You have to remember that not everyone here is as glib as I portray myself to be. This is not an episode of "Undercover Boss". I really is unfair to SHLD employees. I am putting my money were my mouth is through labor.

The people I work around are broken and dejected and generally feel terrible. The wreck of Sears is NOT THEIR FAULT. I don't back down. I am too old for that sort of shart. Well, you have a couple of crabby old ladies in the office who like to tell me I am wrong. Just shut the f up and give me some smaller bills for these $100's. Can we just do that?

Make sure you "hide" that money when you walk back to the register. Like the "no people that are there" are going to just get ideas about robbing you. I have more cash in my wallet than our start till does on a regular basis. Think of this way, if I get robbed by some sneaky thief who is there behind the bedding, then I have cash enough to pay to till back. It's my money that I am asking change for.

It's paper. Who cares? I don't need a fOOcking lecture from a rook pizza face girl about walking around with a couple hundred bucks in a bag. The throngs of the unwashed masses would surely accost me on my way and Sears could be robbed should I not give my one and only life to save SHLD.

No mention of my safety or my cash.

At least if they had any hot chicks in the back it would help but not much. It's not a pretty sight back there. So you get a fat ugly chick that genetics forgot that tries to tell you how things are going to be. It is entertainment for me.

They have no idea how to deal with me because I follow their "protocol". They don't like that I know that don't follow their own rules. Who could have knode?

ZeroHedge D

We never stop and we are everywhere.

That is ZHD for the slower folks.

I appreciate the comment. I am still in shock from 2008. I don't trust anything. YES, please do break it all down as you see it. I appreciate the conspiracy aspect of my post but the connection is strong on the connection. I do wear a tin foil hat but I am no snowflake either.

Dollar General is not an American Icon. Dollar general is in planning on opening more stores last I read. Dollar General has no one from their board of directors being appointed to Secretary of Treasury. You are comparing apples to oranges.

You have to ask yourself one question...do I pay attention to details?

I don't know anything for sure of course. What financial sense I do have, besides having NO DEBT, is that many malls will close simply for the heating bill alone if they turn the Sears Stores into ice skating rinks as one municipality plans to do.

Maths are hard for most people when they only look at numbers.

I will post it here.. The idea of a government bail out because of Mnuchin is conspiracy theory wishful thinking. Sears is now in the same range revenue wise as Dollar general, do you think the government would bail out Dollar general ?

An anchor store is one the mall relies on to drive sales and bring in foot traffic . You answered your own question "they have no customers" and are taking up foot traffic space not driving it.

Malls will adapt the space in other ways by breaking down to smaller stores that attract foot traffic. Malls will miss sears like a family getting their lazy brother in law to move out of the basement. They will miss the rent money in the short term but glad the dirty under wear and cigar smell is gone.

I could go in to the break down financially why its beyond saving or how the centric member shopping focus using a online store pull system is flawed and collapse's in on its self but it really falls on the failure of a single focused idea "raise the stock starve the store."
