Hell no. Our HR rep got laid off the day before we got hit, back in March.

There was a young South American HR lady transferred to the transformation team last year as a reward for downsizing NAM just before XMAS.

Just curious, if HR can avoid being laid off by such transfer scheme, why not other dept? I believe there are many other dudes in tech who should've actually stayed instead of HR...

It might be true. In addition, if their productivity includes the number of layoffs then they must have bagged tons of gold as performance bonus..
