So after Ray said there were no new layoffs planned they canned 25+ people but then turned around and hired a new SVP/ CFO because we need another bean counter to tell us how we aren't making enough and that we need to trim the fat all the while I'm sure he has a nice labor contract, salary and probably a golden parachute. Even better he is a former ACE Hardware guy, gee wonder how he got this job. Ray please go take a leap off the nearest building and ensure you dive head first!!!

There is no true leadership. If there were, Follett would not be in the state of chaos it is currently in. No amount of top heavy BS is going to change the fact that employees are NOT HAPPY. Get a clue! Another smiling VP...what a fcking joke....
Two groups feel there are enough Indians; upper management and IT. Upper management proves its disdain for front line employees several times a year. IT dislikes more work being outsourced to Indians (and their Indian firms).

For the person that works in accounting - you should be worried about outsourcing. From what I hear, they are already training some people in India to take accounts payable over so it won't be long before they figure out how to outsource the rest of accounting over there. They work with the Indian team daily so it won't be long before AP is completely gone.
Too many Indians. Love it! Follett always did have too many Chiefs though. That was an oak Brook thing. Managers reporting to managers, Directors reporting to directors. this went up to Vp levels too. And the Vps had no reports
I work in accounting and I am worried sh--less. His last job/company was an outsourcing service provider. He is going to do the same thing that IT did.

This CFO replaces the one that left 2-3 months ago when he left to go back to Boston with his family. This isn't extra, just replacing the one that left. Needed to make sure that everything is on the up and up.

This leadership is unbelievable. First Kmart employees worked their magic on Follett, now it is the Ace employees doing the same. I bet Ace and Kmart are both in slogs like Follett.
