Not entirely correct. Hewlett Packard Labs (Sadler - HPE) with around 40+ people is being shutdown. HP Labs (Shiu - HP, Inc) is unaffected being in a completely different company...
they had to have known for a long time now. hopefully they prepared appropriately.
