International closures for HP Labs after U.S. sites culled earlier in Q4

Everyone based in Bristol and working for Martin Sadler or Simon Shiu was just made redundant, constituting a complete closure of HP Labs in that location.

Probably about 50 people affected in the UK, after 50+ were let go in Palo Alto earlier in Q4.

Reportedly good redundancy packages for the employees involved, but not great timing given the proximity to the holiday season.

Not entirely correct. Hewlett Packard Labs (Sadler - HPE) with around 40+ people is being shutdown. HP Labs (Shiu - HP, Inc) is unaffected being in a completely different company...
