mainly targeted middle till upper management and some non profitable products.

Had layoffs yesterday at EMC. Not many left in our Mech group. 12 worldwide to support all business units.
2nd week is fast approaching. Any updates?
Any thoughts on how long for customer service field engineers? They have been treamin those jobs slowly...
Client solutions directors at Dell EMC (previously VCE) have just been told that they will no longer have jobs as of feb 1, 17. But they can re-apply for another position

What are PIP's? I was an EMC employee, now Dell EMC. Not a term we use here.
Till the number comes down to 90K, expect layoff's. It will accelerate closer to the Dell Year End. Jan 31st 2017 . If folks are on PIP's or looking to get another job now is the time.
I can confirm that a large number of folks at all levels were laid off to comply with span of control requirements along with shedding unprofitable products. Impacting all geographies (India, China, East Coast, W.Coast)
