Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

My benefits are going up 55%.

Going to CSC. My benefits are going up 55%. Getting us "in line" with CSC benefits package. Dusting off my resume now. We can't cut anymore, as our techs are burned out.

There are multiple posts around here that say that CSC is even worse than HPE...

When I told a friend about the announcement of the spin-merge ES into CSC, his response was, "I'm sorry."

As someone leaving CSC after 6 years, it's funny to see people WANTING to join CSC. More benefits and money? Pfff. Not going to happen. I'm leaving because I can (and will be) making double my current pay almost anywhere else. No raises for years at CSC despite many proven improvements in my performance and consistently taking on top level work.

HPE's A&DM organization uses the "bench" terminology.

I don't think OP is wishing anything, except for a better employer. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't do another across-the-board pay cut for those "transferring" to CSC, so they are in line with those people. From what I've read, it seems like CSC is run like a sketchy fly-by-night contract house, with terms like "on the bench" being used (Haven't heard that since I was a contract employee).

I don't know about most HPES employees, but the teams I've worked with deserve better.
