Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Mike Nefkens on the way out

For the HPE/CSC spin off folks, the rumor is Mike is mulling over, meaning his adviser is looking over employment contracts to exit after the HPE/CSC merger is complete.

Nefkens was the architect of this from the word GO. Many countries are bound to tough employment laws and the only way to change the amount of employees... is the current "spin/merge" strategy. Classical WFR programs can't be applied in all countries + they need funding to give folks the bullet.

Nefkens will have his ducks in a row... The Valley is an expensive place to live.

For me: powerpoint bullsh** management, miles away from leadership.

Quo Vadis world?

Nefkens was officially reporting to Mike Lawrie (CSC CEO):

http://www.csc.com/investor_relations/press_releases/137152-csc_announces_merger_with_enterprise_services_segment_of_hewlett_packard_enterprise_to_create_global_it_services_leader

Speaking as a CSC'er this happens a fair bit - Lawrie doesn't take no for an answer and its his way or the highway. CSC has a fair amount of senior management churn and some only survive one meeting with the CEO...

Meg sounds a cutie compared to the great white shark...

From the internal CSC memos I have seen, let me tell you this. "Resistance is futile.....you will be assimilated." Good luck HPES people....you're going to get a rude awakening in about 6 months

Have none of these knob jockeys that keep banging on about "pure play" as if they've discovered the Holy Grail ever heard of EDS?

HP shoukd have butted out and left EDS alone inthe first play, instead thry raped it and nos tgeg are selling off the carcass to Lawrie.

Of course Nefkens will bail out with his payoff. Why wouldn't he?

Nefken's first comment in the joint CSC/HPE conference was "Isn't it great to be part of a pure play?"

What an idiot.

We don't give a sh-- about pure plays or logos.

Good riddance.

Why would anyone have thought he was staying? If he was, that would have been announced ages ago to the Wall Street analysts.

I think many of us saw that one coming when most of the NewCo leadership roles were announced a few months ago and his role was still "TBD", it looked like he was being squeezed out.
