New overtime regulations

Anyone have info about what the company is going to do to us exempt "manager" employees with a base salary below $47,476 when the new overtime laws kick in on 12/1? We are about 60 days out from that and you would think that is an important announcement for them to put out there.

They do not have to make you hourly. They do not have to give you a raise. They can leave you salary and say OT is not authorized.

We were just switched in May to salary from hourly without raising our pay. We are considered 1B employees. So to switch us back to hourly would be unlike any of AT&T others with the same title and job duties. We are legacy DTV. We are L&D and not supervisory. I'm so sick of the waiting to hear what the hell AT&T is actually doing. This is the worst company. DTV always communicated, even the bad news, with integrity. AT&T is horrible to its customers and it's employees. I'm so sick of hearing the butt kissers say how great it is and how lucky they are to work for AT&T. What a bunch of smoke and mirrors.

There are a lot of options for the company when it comes to salary employees and accommodating the new OT rules. Still waiting to hear if surplus is one of the options for particular business units.

Based on the outsourced call centers, the company no longer cares about people in general. Employees or customers. I'm pretty sure they will replace workers in business units by outsourcing and surplusing direct employees either Q4 2016 or Q12017.

Q4 2016 would be if certain phases of projects set in motion this year are successful. Q1 2017 if they are still running into speed bumps and need time to iron them out before launching into the ax phase.

They're going to make you hourly. Lol at the person who said "give you a raise and make you hourly." Lots of people making well above that salary amount have been hit with this already.

I've been wondering that myself. Just what does the company plan to do with the 1A and 1B salaried employees that have manager in their titles yet don't make that minimum of $47, 400?

I'm an RAE, so I'm pretty much available from 8:30AM-9PM because that's when my stores are open. However, I know in a couple of states the RAEs are hourly so they may just do that. If that's the case, my COU will be turned the hell off at 5pm every day.

Probably give you a raise to keep from paying OT. How many hrs do you work currently? We work 10-12 hr work days.
