Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Curious, is this survey being forced on all locations? KY is getting pressure as if it is the most important thing we have to do.

Cameron is doing this for years...thats right, but I can tell you that the survey is not anonymous and the employees are forced to participate.

I recieved a mail about the survey yesterday from HR manager saying that we needed to increase the participation levels........what gets me is if this is completely anonymous how the hell do they know what the participation level is?!?!......now call me a cynic but that doesn't seem very anonymous to me and if they know the participation levels what else do they know?

Survey - is a bunch of crap. I took them at Cameron - they are just a waste of money and time. If they meant anything things would of changed, instead they changed for the worst. Schlumberger needs to take a very good look at the VP's they have in the glass house, all of them need to go. Instead those VP"s made stupid decision, let go of the workers and kept their friends. All in good time KARMA will get those chosen ones as well, and good riddance!!

It is a good survey we do it every 2 years and have not seen 1 bit of good come from it. We asked HR for a local plant survey instead. They sh-- themselves and said it would not be far to judge upper management on a individual plant level. They know they s--- just don't want to know how bad

I would hate to see Meagan Leave but I hope she does in a way because she is FAR too talented to waste on a place that treats their employees like the Florence plant does. She deserves a job that will challenge her and reward her for a job well done. Hell we all deserve that. How many of us are willing to go get that job? Time will tell.

Guys !!! Dont worry, This will not be the 1st time slb have to close 80% of manufacturing plan in usa. SLB like to purchase and sale technology rather than invent new one.

I wish this page had a like button.

We are screwed if MM ever leaves HR.

Sweco used to be a great place to work. We were family. We took care of each other. Now you have to submit help desk tickets and ask HR tickets for everything.

New HR manager in Florence can't figure out how to get in the front door but knows exactly how to get his maximum bonus. Intimidation and threats seem to be the new new norm here in the Bluegrass. SLB is slowly transforming this once great manufacturing facility into a place where employees hate coming to. People in the community are also aware of the dysfunctional management at MI Swaco/Sweco and this will make it even more difficult to hire quality employees if/when we pick back up.

Inteligent men do complain and get their act together to improve their situation .

why the survey?

1) just fxxking around with the employees, yes you people are important and your input is valuable and counted (until we fire your a--), or

2) we are totally lost and have no idea what to do, we need to figure out what the fxxk we should do

Dont bother with the survey. If it is really anonymous then managers will not know specifically whether you completed it or not. They may be able to know the % completed in location, but not specific individuals.

wow, I started this post with a simple question. not intended to have people gripe at each other.

I took the survey....just wanted to know if other locations were being forced to take it. calm down people!

Sorry, I'm not a byotch. I don't complain about things out of my control. I do something about my situation. If I am so worried about getting fired, I should probably start looking for other work. That's what smart people do. That's what I'm doing.

Geez, when business is bad people become whiny. When it's going good they just get lazy and complacent. Just quit if you have that attitude. The darn survey takes 10 minutes. Instead of crying on here, just take the stupid thing!!

bonuses, that's why they are forcing them. just another stupid percentage to base bonuses on. just like HOCs.

my question is if it isn't that big of a deal why force it on people?

several Cameron people have said it amounts to nothing. it can't be cheap to have a third party company do them. don't know about your location but we've given up a lot. the money spent on surveys could be a lot better used.

Just do the survey. It takes 5 minutes. Cameron has been doing it for years. It is not that big of a deal.
