How convenient, Granny Meg! Getting rid little by little of anyone above 45 years old is not what I would call part of a "diverse" culture... Your pyramid is a true insult. Your time will come soon in Court... I really hope money doesn't prevail!

Yep, @hii... Diversity is a taboo topic... It can get you in trouble extremely quickly if you differ from the generally accepted, so it's a no-no topic to discuss with anyone in your Organization.
Diversity is beautiful... Until you loose your job to someone much younger, and/or living in a lower cost Country. I agree with @hii. It's just a way to justify lower salaries, and make good PR at the same time.
I'm a 46 YO woman - got hired and my job was eliminated in 3 months as the company sold its "non-core" software assets to a U.K. Co. interestingly, the only three let go from my department were over 45. The kids got to stay. Cool HPE. Ageism much?
Diversity is a taboo topic, OP. Everyone has an opinion, but it's a big no-no to share if you don't agree with the "standards" out there. Plenty of hypocrisy... One thing is what everyone say, and another what people actually do. I agree with you... HPE uses the term to their advantage. It makes good PR, and having a "diverse" workforce usually translate into the ability to offer lower salaries. It's a topic that can get you in trouble if you dissent on anything generally accepted. Try to avoid talking about it...
