Since our bottom line is down compared to last year, expect more cuts.

Enough already needs to be asserted at the clowns in the executive suites. It's now more than 3 years of staff cuts, pay cuts, benefit take backs, abuse and poor results. I think we in the weeks have some more throat clearing to do at least until the situation improves. Actually, if you're have experience and not too old, you should be out of this septic stain

I work at HO and you are right it will be a few select groups that will be allowed to work from home.

Can bet my life it will not be my area.

So now they have figured out a way to have the stores and corporate hate each other. The stores don't have enough help, and are frustrated because labor has been cut to the bone. Then, you have some koolaid drinking HO employee kicking up his heels because they said you can work from home ...soon...maybe. Of course, saying you can work from home totally makes up for no raise or bonus. I'll bet it's limited to one or two days a week, only select depts, and don't forget your kids can't be in the house while you are working (yep, that's an HR rule). All in all, they'll twist it so that it isn't every week.

Stores should realize they dangled this carrot once before, and didn't like the fact that people were happier working from home. So that will stop, even if it's instituted. Don't fight each other. Been on both sides, no matter where you are, it's miserable at follett.

Omg! In any organizations corporate is always different from the retail. So go away with that. The corporate office does a lot how in the world do you get paid, get your benefits etc. If you don't like working in retail GET ANOTHER JOB COMPLAINERS

Great. Just what us store employees are use to seeing. The home office ivory towers getting more special benefits. Do you know who faces the customer every day? Sure....you will be working from home ;-) ;-)
