Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Have supervisers already been told who from their teams are going to be laid off?

I think it depends where you are located and what dept. Managers know who in their groups are going but supervisors don't. Good luck to those who go and to those who stay. We will all need it.

HR issued lists to supervision that were reviewed this morning/afternoon for minor tweaking. Yes, if you're on the block, they know who you are.

They created the list in the first place. Then they are told which were selected from their list. Sooo if you are asking them questions that is inappropriate since they can't tell you and your putting them in a spot where they have to lie to you.

In theory yes. Both the call and the meeting were conducted by the director and not the supervisor in my situation. An EEO case was in process associated with the supervisor so I suspect HR and management proceeded without feedback from the supervisor. In the end one or the other would be walking out the door. Oddly enough the director was walked out the door in the next round of layoffs. Unclear as to the status of the supervisor. He was a stereotypical bully supervisor so loved in the oil and gas industry.
