Its been brutal for the employees losing jobs, income and in the middle of an economic crisis in the country. Please keep these employees in your prayers. They have done nothing wrong. Believing in Schlumberger was their only mistake.

U all should erase the word loyalty in your dictionary. When u work for somebody, they kiick u out any time they want. Look at other side , if u were the owner ,no money in for a year , will u keep your employes or fired??. I get out just in time. The ideal is always extract all u can from your work then move. That how oil industry wirk.
Chaves may have started digging their own hole but the Mother Frackers north of Rio Grande helped burying them inside.
But the issue is, when you push too strong you risk falling too...
We the people of Venezuela eat up our false pride which can't fill our stomach and accept us as the rightful Chinese colony. Please take our broke country and give us food, milk and asswipes.
The Chinese are already scooping up the tracts.
Let us sell all of Venezuela and it's people to Chinese at Chinese prices..may be it will pay their debts in this lifetime
Except for L48 people that is.
Just stop producing cheap oil in the USA and we all will be saved.
Yes I just retired from Slb jan 2 was last day....perfect timing for me but Armagedon for all remaining.....now Slb is releasing Good people...with the oil industry accepted mentality that you can hire New People with zero oilfield knowledge and in "months" train them to do intense technical op's....the oilpatch os in for a rude awakeneng....any More trimming and Even the pension fund could be in jeapardy...but all I can say is hang on....saudia arabia cant hold out for much longer....

previously, actually a long time ago, loyalty and dedication were a virtue by good and decent employees. Over the year it became a sign of stupidity and ignorance as the company only care about about its share prices (i.e., stock options) and has zero concern for people spending their entire life building it.
Be strong guys, what happen will hapen. I know it happen , so i already learn how to make some saving
Wel VTT technical abilities can be matched by a 7th grader. With all the unpaid bills it's better to start the trash cleaning business or milk business in Venezuela. Hollow country with hollow pockets
I am one of the engineers laid off yesterday and PDVSA pay schlumbeegr but my boss say we don't majke enough money and the IBT is too low so you have to go. 20 years with schlumbeegr and it's time to find a new job maybe with Chinese people
Its totally Paals fault as he has run up billions of dollars of debt with PDVSA that everybody know they couldn't pay 10 years ago never mind now. He continued with a strategy of growing the business and hiring thousands of people and now they write off billions of non paid debt and fire all the employees
Is that good business management?
Chavez led to this. PDVSA is not paying bills. Rampant inflation. No way to export revenue. Not Paal's fault.
Incompetent management policies in Venezuela for past 10 years has led to this.
It's okay. Even if the slowdown hurts our stock. Thankfully Paal was able to sell 32,857 shares of SLB on June 8th for $ 2,628,560
KIBSGAARD PAAL only owns 170,000 shares of SLB but with these continue cuts should be able to make his objective and receive more grants/options/free stock soon
Sale at $80 per share. Direct 2,628,560 Jun 8, 2016 32,857
