Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Toxic

This company is seriously the most toxic place I have ever worked. There are some really nice hard working people but sh-- rolls down, so it's never noticed. The Follett values is just lip service, I am not at corp, but I can tell you that legal guy is the biggest a--hole I have ever met so its clear that some top level people have connections and will never go anywhere.

I know that HR likes to say that you should go to them... right. Companies care about their own liabilities, not people. Until top level starts making positive changes and ENSURING that those in charge follow through, nothing will change. Sad reality.

Matt is such a tool. He jumped right in playing the games. Just another weak puppet that does anything for money and title.

I could see a lawyer about why I quit, but decided not to. Suffice it to say that my male manager was abusive and should have been fired but clearly he never will be. I was essentially forced out of position. Thankfully I was able to find better employment.

Follett values have always been for predetermined winners. I know, because I was part of that scam. Teachers pets are the chosen few. Haven't you ever noticed how so many winners came from HR, only for doing their job basics? Once in awhile they throw in someone like the warehouse guy who saved someone from choking. But, look how many Follett values winners have been let go via layoffs. Yes, great associates but no thank you we don't want to pay you what you are worth, plus you are over 50. Favoritism rules with values awards.

Follett value awards have been a joke for years.

Should be for going above and beyond your job not just doing your job.

Leaders in this organization need to remember something called humility... Not having any is the first step in the wrong direction

Passed MS in the hall a few months ago said Hi and he looked the other way. He is definitely better than us. He is a legend in his own mind.
