Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Saw this at. http://texasoilcareers.com/texas-oil-drilling-companies/

HAL admits that the company has to staff up and quickly, Some of the workers laid off have retired, while others have moved into other industries., and now that the company is back heading towards serious drilling they are having difficulties in finding experienced and not so experienced workers. Halliburton’s president, played down concerns that the company would not be able to meet increased demand for Halliburton oil jobs as the industry recovers, He also pointed out that it had experience of staffing up quickly, and that is exactly what they are heading to.

Retired maybe, but not by choice. And f---ing HAL should know, they pushed out some under the guise of retirement. Don't work for this company.

Halliburton is NOT going to call anyone with experience back, ever. They will never admit to making this blunder as the current mis-management is a bunch of young egotistical misfits who are concerned only with themselves and following the bobblehead Dave's directives.

Dave tells Jeff.

Call up all the experienced older field hands we layed off. The greenhats are costing us to much money on down time and job correction.

Jeff tells Dave.

I know they are just waiting for my call. We can rehire them, and layoff the new guys.

Dave, I called and most of them said........

You fill in the blank.lol.

I guess investing 3.5 billion in their employees would have made more sense than investing in the competition.
