That has been the Follett eCommerce strategy from day one. Order online pickup in stores "next day". Competitors can't match that. Our eFollett is a mirror of our stores, in fact if you are not a student at one of the Follett store universities you cannot buy from eFollett. While eFollett is important to potentially saving a sale that would move to amazon, that fact is eFollett will NEVER offer a single new sales dollar into the transaction stream. It is important to pay the school their commission on every sale.

We should go to strictly online sales, invest in a badass website that works and ship strictly from our warehouses.

We should also use our stores as pickup spots for students toget their books next day after placing their order.

Just my thoughts

No excuses. I take one look at that line and I am on Amazon.

There are very few times that you walk into a bookstore (or any retail establishment for that matter) and your breath is taken away in awe and amazement. When walking into Varney's for the first time, this was exactly how I felt.

For as pro-follett take over as I am, it was a (hidden) sad day when I found out we were contracting with K-State.
