Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

I too will be leaving HPE

I am one of several on our team that took the 90% off-shore target seriously. Either through the on-going layoffs or bright sizing (the bright ones bail).

It's withheld as bonus pay, but you'll get the money back when you file your taxes.

26+ years for me with HP and HPE....gone with 2 weeks notice. It's a bit other-worldly feeling and mind-blowing how a company can dispense with an employee in whom they invested so much -- years of training, master's degree, coaching, etc) -- based on location strategy and cost cutting. A few of my old time colleagues with 30+ years were also let go. A least there is a severance package, though not as good as they used to be years ago, and it appears a good portion is taxed as a gift. Was that always the case? Now we'll see how a late 40 something fairs in the market place amidst Millennials willing to do the same jobs for 50% of the salary.

It wil all end soon, when HPE will be sliced (again) and then sold for good. Good luck on finding a new job.
