I find it hard too to accept there are layoffs in India and China HPE offices. I have been to the offices multiple times in last 2 years and have seen them only flourishing while my teams here were being constantly cut.

BS... For every 10 jobs you loose, you get thousands (I'm referring to the India IT Industry in general). It's really difficult for me to accept that HPE is laying off people there (unless directly related to the spin offs, and I wouldn't consider those layoffs per se). Nothing against my peers there, which are great and savvy people... I'm just saying what I see.

Layoffs are happening in India engineering group in Bangalore. 50+ people are being laid off.

There is NO such law in India. Earlier, companies didn't do layoffs fearing that in future they will not be able to attract talent. That is NOT the case any more. In India too, 40+ are at higher risk of employment termination.

Not true I know for a fact you cannot get laid off in India. They move to another position or sit on the bench until they do. Country law.
