I've seen this conversation here before about the same thing. Just a bunch of trolls trying to agitate additional turmoil. Ignore them

Dude. You think you are milking AT&T when their officers are milking you! There are plenty of worthless officers making $1m plus doing nothing because they are friends of randy. Get real

i get your point, but for someone w/ 32 years of service, my monthly pension payout is $543/month :(

I'm ready to go, but no one can live off of that :( :(

also, each quarter, the head of our dept brags about the millions of dollars we generate - we could celebrate a little more if even a modest bonus was shared with us...

It's quite simple. AT&T has far too many people with far too many years. If you haven't managed to save enough after working for the company for some 40+ years, then it is likely poor planning on your part.

I recently looked at several organizations, all with a significant percentage of 40+ year NCS. Some of those are on the high end, approaching 50 years.

Seriously, get the F*ck out!!! Time to let someone take over and continue the job.

it's not "your not prepared". It's "you're not prepared". Your = belonging to you. You're = you are.

I would think AT&T employees would know better.

OP you are an idiot. I've only been around 10 years, but those who've been around for 30? They're LOYAL, you idiot. They have/ had a secure job with good pay, great benefits and their pensions are way better than ours, so grow up, you have no clue, go play frisbee with your 12 year old friends. Where do u think you'll be in 30 years? Remember this day, please, because in 30 years, you'll have 20 year olds saying the same to you. Get a life.

There are 5 senior techs with 40+ years of service, in our work center, and the have been in light duty before I came to this place 10 years ago, they have mastered the milking the cow skill, sitting in the office all day reading porn magazines, I think that I could do that, and hat is exactly what this company is all about, the hard working folks are the ones let go, SMH

What goes around comes around. So thankful we with 30+ years made it and can retire with insurance, 401k, pension, etc. Some of us oldies fought hard to protect domestic positions for you. Good luck and hope you succeed in the company.

If you have milked AT it's time to retire. It's not AT&T's fault you're not prepared.

"if you have milked at$t for more than 30 years then your time is up. time to retire. its not att's fault your not prepared."

Try this instead:

If you have milked AT&T for more than 30 years then your time is up(,) it is time to retire. (It's) not AT&T's fault (you're) not prepared.

These minor skills will help you construct a soon to be needed resume that won't try to win a race into the trashcan.

You're sense of entitlement isn't helping anyone. You don't know anyone's personal situation. And I've only been here a few years myself. Good luck in life with that attitude.
