I've known a lot of people (including myself) that went to work for Companies that are big customers of IT infrastructure and services. If you land a decision making role to procure those services, you have no idea the satisfaction you'll feel by having HPE basically begging for a contract near tough quarter ends. NEVER FORGET how they made you feel yesterday, neither the nightmare you and your family are going to live during the upcoming weeks and months - so close to the Holidays.

There's NO WAY I'll ever by and HP or HPE product again.
Fear...uncertainty...doubt...pain...okay look, man up (or woman up) and go find new jobs. Redefine your careers. Take charge. You are under your control. If you're waiting for Meg to swing the ax, that's on you.
@JVU5XtC-avb What vendetta? Business is business! And frankly, I would sooner buy from Dell, Apple, Cisco, and Amazon before I would buy from HP or HPE...and that's me speaking as a consumer of HP and HPE widgets. The price is better and so is the build quality.
@hvv... Immature, childish, and irresponsible behavior... People like you make an already difficult situation, even more difficult to the ones that stay. Your ridiculous imaginary vendetta only impacts the people you've been working with...
At least your manager talked to you. Mine didn't talk to me once after I got notice.
The "replacement" probably doesn't speak english anyways :-)
I've been reporting to the same Manager for the last three years... When we got into Q4, he suddenly started pushing hard for me to document in detail all my tasks, and train a backup. It was pretty evident that I've been on the list for quite some time now, but they needed to do a knowledge transfer first. Guess what... I didn't document anything, and he gave me notice yesterday. When I got back from "the green mile", the first thing he told me was that I "needed to finish my documentation" prior to my last day, and review all the details with him and the peer that will be assuming my role (in addition to all the other things he's swamped on)...
Well, I decided to take two weeks off on a sick leave (I'm a high blood pressure patient, and can easily justify it). So... If they wanted me out, they got it. Not even on his dreams he'll get the knowledge transfer he was looking for... I'm wiping out my laptop as we speak. I'll go back the last day to return it, and that's it. FY, HPE...
