I am on my 2nd round of interviews at Fisher Price for a senior marketing position on the Thomas brand. The toy industry is new to me (I have spent the last four years in food) but it seems like a great opportunity and the toy industry sounds amazing. I was very impressed by the professionalism of HR and everybody I interviewed with also the office looks super contemporary (way diff than most corporate offices I have seen). That is why I am surprised to read all the negative post on the site. Is this the opinion of everyone at the office? Or just a select few? Any information would be extremely helpful. I'm trying to figure out my next step.

Yup Farr from the Truth said more savings are coming from cutting the workers but he'll most certainly keep his multimillion dollar $alary/bonu$ while he's the one responsible.
Again, typical MattHell where no one can hear you scream.
Yep, brace yourselves. As they said on the call yesterday the majority of margin benefits will come from SGA declines next year = get ready for a lot more cuts...
Now official that Hasbro had the best Q3 in the Company's history largely thanks to MattHell totally mishandling/losing the Disney Princess Line to Hasbro. When that happened MattHell downplayed it saying it was no big deal. Really.....?
All MattHell did was give ex CEO Brian Stockdown a free miltimillion dollar salary for another year of doing absolutely nothing as thanks.
MattHell's Q3 results were totally flat & dismal bur the dividend was paid.
Layoff's anyone?
LOL another food worker. God I hope I get called back for my second interview. I hate this place.
LOL - There aren't any Sr. Marketing openings in the NY office, troll. Go pander elsewhere, monkey. We never backfilled the positions left open by attrition and there's another round of layoffs coming after the Q3 announcement.
Hasbro's Q3 earnings/numbers were the best ever while MattHell's so called Max Steel movie rating was a zero rating with the worst opening of any movie ever.
Again just proving that every single thing that MM touches turns to crap just like when he destroyed half of all the handmade MSteel prototypes by dropping them down two flights of stairs. Unbelievable.
who wants to work on that watered down crap? it's the albatross that everyone thought would overtake all of our mattel evergreen brands but we have clueless hags and that worthless sack pisors shlubbing around like their experts who haven't had a real hit with the property yet. minis? mid-marketed. it's all watch me crap and the two lines that arebtbare either too expensive or made like cheap dollar store crap. stay away senior marketing wannabe. you'll just be a scapegoat for the next round of layoffs when they finally have to start axe marketing. last one hired.
Priceless, no one else wants to work on the brand. Gluck
If you take the job always go into meetings with mints if you have to deal with LD and her horrible breath, or make friends with soreknees, he's got a treasure trove of gum that you can grab a handful of and chew away and drown out her halitosis. I do it weekly and really do owe the guy palette of gum.
If you can lean on the millennial mom angle, you'll fit in fine.
Not sure if this is real or not but the tone of all the post on this website are pretty accurate to the inner workings of the corporate environment at Mattel.
Take the job. Knowing nothing about marketing toys will guarantee you a promotion to Direction within 6 months, and VP inside of 2 years.
HA HA HA This is stupid.
If it's not a troll and they have read this site, they are not too bright...post sounds so naive...seems like a bad fake...
I pray this is a troll. The last thing this company needs is another foodie running a department where they have no expertise. Foodies have ruined Mattel and FP. We don't want you. Go sell some fake cheese or something.
