great post. yammer is full of butt kissing turds. lets see how many of them think BOEF is so great when they get demoted / laid off. while agree that restructuring is much needed due to the unresponsible hiring during the boom, upper management should simply grow some balls and state there will be layoffs instead of building the hype around BOEF.

Well, one would hope we remain safe. With this BOEF hemorrhaging distraction I'm sure most people are not keeping their mind on task. I started working here just under 2 years and I am just amazed at how poorly our leaders are dealing with these layoffs. Most persons didn't see the one in November coming and our leaders promised to be transparent, deliberate and objective, aka the BOEF initiative. Where is the integrity and respect for the worker bee when their PL has been laid off and everyone is expected to work as if nothing happened? When will Enbridge 'man up' and at least acknowledge that positions have been made redundant? If we are supposed to be working through this, where is the plan of action that BOEF has been working on since January? Upper management, are you so out of touch that you don't see the huddled 'Oasis convos' and 'office whispers'? Or Is it that you don't care and plan to ignore the elephant in the Pipeline? Have you not noticed that more honest conversations are had here than on yammer? Has anyone on the Change Management team informed you that that implies, your staff does not trust they can be open and honest about this without putting their jobs on the line? Please, to save the little integrity that is left at Enbridge, be forthright and say what is happening. People don't need the details, we are expecting layoffs not miracles. Just a simple elink notice - 'The layoffs have started and will run for the next 2 weeks, persons have signed NDA's so we are not able to say anything until that time has passed, if your team has been directly affected we will be meeting with you shortly to share the next steps forward. We know it's hard, but please make use of the Family Assistance program if you feel the need to and keep safe as we get through this tough process - together.'. .....and please stop sending us the United Way link to donate. If we are going to pledge donations it going to be after we know we still have a job.
