I heard a rumor that there will be massive layoff in Manila. I hope they consider trimming the management level roles first because they don't add much value to the organization. This is just my opinion.

Wonder how many people still work for HPE. Does anyone know?<<
With or without the massive increase in Indian H1B workers?
There is a lot of arrogance in offshore centers because they believe that they are not going to be part of WFRs. Their main argument is "we are low cost and therefore we are the blessed ones that will get the job of higher cost locations". We'll good luck to our customers.
By 2017 Summer, after all spin offs are complete, HPE strength will be 50,000 to 60,000 people. This is public knowledge. So there is a lot more cuts remaining between now and next Summer.
It is not the case in Manila. We have a lot of managers doing nothing. Most of their work is delegated to poor team leaders like me. We also have the M1.5 that does nothing except to window dress when we have visitors or coffee talks.
So are we saying 250,000 jobs lost since Meg came on and guessing at least a 1/4 to 1/2 of those higher paid individuals with experience also gone being replaced by younger less experienced and underpaid with less benefits coming onboard?
Yeah here is where I read HPE has to get down to 100,000 employees...

I would welcome the brown envelope if there is one. I fear that there might be a real severance package. It might likely be just the minimum required by the law.
Well don't they have to get down to 100,000 people world wide as part of the merger or was that just a rumor or something I read somewhere else?
Yes, and your severance package will be a delivered in a brown envelope!
