Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

All Northern California HPE sites are consolidating to Palo Alto

Just heard this Morning from my manager in Pleasanton that HPE is shutting down the Bay Area sites and consolidating to Palo Alto. All I know is that Fremont, Sunnyvale and Pleasanton are on the hit list. Employees will have the option to commute - whatever!

Does this impact the Roseville site as well? Global real estate put the site up for sale, but assured us all that the terms of the deal would be the new site owner has to keep HPE as a tenant. I call b---s--- on that.

Call BS on that one I am afraid. There is a lot of talk around what goes where and the CSC and Micro Focus splits will have an impact on who is where. HPE (after splits) will be focused in Palo Alto and a couple of other locations, such as Fremont. But Sunnyvale for example is almost 100% HPE Software and hence Micro Focus. ES / ESS has minimal footprint in Northern California and hence won't necessarily have a location in one of the global real estate locations.

Pleasanton is a satellite office at the moment anyway and almost 100% focused on Software. So not sure what will happen there, but ultimately it WONT be part of HPE since its going to be Micro Focus.

There are individuals and managers still working from home. How can some get preferential treatment (allowed to continue working from home) while others better get in the office, or else. Pure BS.

I know at least six people working remotely. Only few get impacted by the new office policy.

Yes, here in Massachusetts employees in a building closing were notified, but not yet told options. It's across the company.

Think about passed practices. They aren't consolidating space to create more jobs and never have. Just another way to get rid of more people. I would expect more workforce reductions.

Does that mean If they can't find a place to set they get let go or fired since everyone has to be in an office now and how many people impacted?
