DTV gone first in Ca.? Sounds like that they would keep their own and let us go away. I know we will be part of the family but still feel like an outsider.

Stankey was naive. Two distinct cultures will coexist but never meld before share loss drives the next deal. In the end legacy T steers the story from Wall Street to Akard Street. Entertainment is far from the only gameplan and parts could be spun off entirely for the next big thing. The weakest link is disposable. Nothing personal, It's hardcore business to protect shareholder value. The way it should be.
AT&T upper management treats everybody who does actual work in this company like crap.
AT&T doesn't really want DirecTV, as far as the satellite network infrastructure. They just want the content. I know for a certainty, that they want to move all that they can off of dish by 2020 in their move to 5G streaming.
AT&T favors no one, including its own employees. DTV and AT&T folks that are squaring off in a fight for approval or going to be the real losers.
AT&T will favor legacy employees over DirecTV unless you're a part of the leadership team .. but not by much. The company is and will be cutting a substantial amount of its own.
