This sounds like the end of FTE in Tech Dev.
Do we now need to start calling it Techmahindra Dev?
It's really sad that AT&T is getting rid of what very FEW employees it has left. My dept has less than 10% employee to "contractor" ratio. They bring in crap tons of H1B contractors by bringing in consulting companies and the vast majority of these contractors are terrible so the employees jobs day to day become less of what the job description is, and more of trying to navigate the contractors' politics. So even at 10% (or less) they want to get rid of even MORE? How low can you go?
I used to try to stick up for my company against the internet hive mind, but in this case even if I do make it through unscathed, this such a terrible taste in my mouth. The company cannot be trusted.

I heard some part of engineering was involved, but haven't heard any specifics on what areas - anyone know?
