Deductions on Severance Pay Check

Hello,

Does anyone know if your pre-elected 401K duduction will be taken out from for your severance pay? Do they take the specified percentage from your severance pay? Should we go manage this before receiving the severance check on the YBR website?

Thanks.

When your checks are issued, a pay stub will be mailed to you that shows what deductions were taken. You will also receive a W-2 at year end for helping you file your income taxes.

Since being laid off I can no longer get into hrexpress to see the details of the deductions from the severance check. How can I get access to that information?

No 401K deduction was taken out of either my severance check nor my check for remaining vacation time last year. The last 401K deduction was taken out of my last paycheck, received the day of my termination. I doubt if the policy has changed this year.
