Seems curious that so many former UOP Directors and VP's have taken a long while to land new positions after they were laid off. It seems that many have taken positions at v. small companies. Seems that not many are finding the real quality positions at larger companys- especially those with long history at UOP. Just an antidotal observation on Linkedin. Any one agree?

Linkedin s---s, nobody updates their profile anymore, just like Facebook. I believe everyone who wanted a job got one pretty fast. You have to remember that UOP pays our people so there had to be some shock leaving. The VP's got a fat severance so they could take their time. You are making something out of nothing.
What about in Universities or Community Colleges, any future for them there? ;
agreed, I look on linked in too for some former Directors to connect with since I was laid off a few months ago. But all I saw were people at these tiny companies, and I'm not talking tech start-up, i'm talking rink dink companies. So, I found a great new job on my own at a large company,
This is true. Why would you hire boiler room car sales managers?
