folks wake up. This is not the telco verizon u knew were hired into. They bought Yahoo and AOL. The top management just wants to build and technology/internet business. They dont care about the network provider business side. Wireline is on its way out and wireless will follow in a few years. The investments will get redirected to the internet and advertising business units.
So rake in as much money as you can. Save and be ready for that rainy day. You can choose to ignore the writing on the wall or be prepared.
It really is sick that LowMac actually gets paid more than Ivan or Chuck considering that Lowell really was the 3rd string quarterback.

The entire C-suite at VZ should be replaced. Of course it won't happen because the Board is in cohoots with it all. Wireless lost market share, union strikes, major lay-offs, massive debt....but the top tower gets to keep its power.
Stop drinking the kool-aid - power maintains power while the lower rung lives are destroyed!! The culture will never get better until they're gone!!
