Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Good Morning alternate version

Heading off to my new job after Follett. Have been recognized several times as a hard working associate, given increasing responsibility. My new bosses are impressed by my work ethic, and can't believe I was let go from another job. I'm relaxed, happy to see my coworkers. Will be working a max of 9 hours today, and home in time for dinner with my family. Slept well last night, no stress or anxiety about my job. In fact, once I leave, I don't even think about the office. I work hard while I'm at work, but leave it behind after hours. Growing business, not worried every day about a layoff. Increasing sales, positive reinforcement from management. And no off shore outsourcing for IT. Find a new job where you can be happy. Keep looking. There are many hard working people still at Follett - you deserve better.

There is no reason to stay. The time to leave was yesterday. You owe Follett nothing. They'll take everything the can take- they've shown that already.

That's awesome, good for you. The job market is pretty robust right now, at least it's not 2008.

Congrats!

Getting laid off after almost 20 years at Follett was the best thing that happened to me as well!
