Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Reuters want to talk to Hardware Engineers who were let go!

I’m an editor at Reuters, and we’re doing a story about layoffs at Cisco and elsewhere that looks at the shift in the tech industry from hardware to software and services.

I’m wondering if you’ve received inquiries from Cisco employees (or at other tech companies) who are being laid off and might be willing to talk to a reporter about the situation and the prospects going forward.

We are particularly interested in talking to hardware engineers and others involved in Cisco’s core hardware operations. Thanks very much.

Best,

Sue Horton

Sue: you should go to 'layoff.com/ intel' site as I bet you'd get a lot of takers there after the recent 12,000 employee layoff between May and July! Many HW engineers including myself, actually a diversity employee but over 50.

  1. Los Angeles. Cisco has no engineering in Southern California. Doesn't Reuters have a bay area reporter?
