Take your money and GTFO, the deal isn't bad. 2 months free on the books and then severance.....I was an 8 yr employee and my haul with the 60 days and severance is $20K. The month of torture leading up to the hacks I coasted as well........so add in another 5K. $25K. My point? Focus externally immediately and don't cry in your Kleenex hoping for another job internally.....you have been deemed and rendered expendable. I was, and I did my job well with nothing but GLOWING reviews.
Once your surplused you wear the "SCARLET S" on your shirt, nobody will touch you. Don't believe the fake concern or BS from your ARSM or Director. They have new responsibilities and the Surplused are nothing but an ANNOYANCE to them. No special calls will be made on your behalf, you won't get priority for interviews.....but you'll hear that BULLSHIT. It's game over unless you know somebody VERY WELL whom is a hiring manager.
