Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Do UOP employees believe in it or know its a scam?

I was in the Navy Nuclear program and went on to get a real engineering degree from a real school but I always noticed how service members with lower asvab scores would always do scam schools and I had a freiend from the Army that I would sometimes help them out by cutting and pasting random bs for his UOP stuff and aparently getting As for sh-- that wouldnt pass at the honors level at my high school. Needless to say nobody was impressed with is "business" degree. I always wondered are employees of UOP believe in it or know its a scam?

I worked there for a few years when UOP was an honest business and watched it change into a government scam when some slimy bankers were put in charge of chasing the easy money and screwing the students.

Looking on the bright side, since so very few UOP students ever actually complete a degree I guess you could say that those who do must have something pretty special going for them.

Only backwoods hicks and other degenerates join the military. Many have no other choice. Anyone higher up is there due to connections. Those who attended elite military academies that rich mommy and daddy sent their children to are typically the only ones with any status. The military also gives fancy titles to most so they don't feel ashamed scrubbing barnacles off of a ship year round. A maintenance engineer instead of janitor. You know this guy is a dummy when he is coming in here to brag about his irrelevant job. Go scrub some more decks you government puppet.

Nuke,

It seems you're the one thinking you're better than everybody else because you got a degree from certain university. Fanny thing is that you admit you helped other people cheat in their school work, yet you're all pure and wonderful, right?

@Rationalize Away The Guilt

I mean yea people many cheat at real colleges too but still the diploma has more legitimacy than some place that has ads on Maury Povich.

But back to my original question do you actually believe in University of Phoenix or do you realize its a scam?

Hey, it's ok. Most people that commit fraud rationalize that what they are doing is not that bad because:

It's a big store, stealing one little thing won't hurt their bottom line.

The work isn't very hard, so I don't consider it cheating.

She doesn't really care about our relationship, so my infidelity didn't hurt her.

But I'm sure you didn't cheat for your Navy nuclear certification or your "real" engineering degree. That's completely different, right?

Maybe you're just really smart, and that's why some UoP classes seemed easy to you. I could probably Google my way through some of the 100 level classes you took on your way to your degree. Does that mean your school is a scam too?

Yes, some people think UoP is bad, evil, stupid, or whatever. Many of them are bitter because of being laid off or uninformed because they only seek out people that agree with what they have already decided (CamdenKid) while ignoring or belittling anything to the contrary.

If you think UoP is a joke or a scam, why not petition the Higher Learning Commission to revoke their accreditation? That's the same accreditation that schools in 19 states receive, including all of the public universities and community colleges in Arizona. But hey, I'm sure the other 1,300 schools the HLC accredits are all scams too, right? I wonder if your engineering school is on there??

Im not complaining about it I was just wondering if you guys actually believe in it?

And if a few minutes of cutting and pasting bs and multiple choice clicking while googling is enough "work" to pass a UOP class then the students probably werent getting much out of it anywway. I mean I didnt really consider it cheating cause its not considered real college. I was just helping out a friend.

So you're not a current or former student, faculty, or staff of UoP and you aren't the sad and pathetic Camden Kid? Then why are you wasting your time trolling this board?

Good to know that Navy training and "real" engineering degree wasn't enough to keep YOU from the unethical practice of doing someone else's work for them. You admit to helping someone cheat and then complain that someone else is scamming... Hypocrite much?
