Does anyone on this board know about B&T? I see most posts from the retail side but trust me we are suffering on the FSS side as well. First we are told it's "separate" now the rumor is Finance people are losing their jobs. Wonder if TH knows how little KG does all day? Dude gets in late, leaves early. What a mess our side is-people working their butts off and told not to worry-what a joke

In a declining industry, the only way you can grow the top line is through acquisitions.
I think that everyone understands the basics of what happens in an acquisition. The issue becomes why we did it if we don't have the money ....and when changes are going to occur -that's what's driving around down along with a lot of other things. Synergies obviously have to be realized that should have all been well planned out and clearly it was not.
How do you think Follett will pay down the acquisition costs of B&T. Through reductions and consolidations. This is basic business called economies of scale, Follett is interested in the B&T customers and systems. You don't have multiple departments doing the work that could be performed by one department/warehouse. Now that said, how long do you think it will take to consolidate......years and years. The road will be bumpy.

MF management is ripe for the next round, just look at the org chart. Managers and directors with one and two direct reports. No active projects and this is the essential staff? No accountability for the huge failures?

MF... wasn't he the guy that installed time clocks. I guess that gives him the background and credentials to be a VP. His mumbling gibberish in the hallways is him practicing his BS speech he gives his boss on what he thinks he is contributing to this company.
If the competition thinks they have to provoke conflict, they're not too smart or the power of perception has dimmed. Conflict has been bought and paid for by the last several years' attitude toward employees, customers and the company.
I would certainly hope at the very least that a vice President would have proper use of the English language... And no one needs to go on this board to incite internal conflict that's happening quite well on its own, thanks to the lack of true leadership or any real direction.
I am fairly certain Follett VPs are not posting negative things about employees here. Guys, wake up. The competition is trolling you to incite internal conflicts.

To the posted VP... Correction you are VP's because you kiss the assof your boss not because you're smarter than the next person. You stab the people under you to save your job. When the VP of HR is gone the rest of you will soon follow because any smart business person would instantly know you all are useless! Anybody can get a VP title at Follett that's why it's so many of you :)

We are VPs because we are bright and masterminds in our craft. You on the other hand are not. That is why you are at the level you are. Except it. It will make your life so much easier.

And for those of you still employed with us, YOU NEED to grateful that we didn't get rid of you. Well at least yet. Anyway, stop your crying and get back to work.

We are still working when we leave....its just on the golf course, executive spa or etc. We talk strategies and plan for the future of our company.
